Choose the certificate fields

You are requesting a TLS certificate for the public site that answers on www.example.com and example.com. Clients must trust a single certificate for both names. The private key stays on the web servers. The TLS stack on those servers performs the usual certificate-based handshake that authenticates the server to browsers.
